Bassa FilletsBack

Bassa is the preferred choice for Australians' favourite dish - fish and chips.  Most Bassa fish are imported from Vietnam, where they are farmed by local farmers along the Mekong River. They are raised in pens that use the natural flow from the river to remove any impurities that may build up over time. Though most catfish varieties do not like strong currents, the Bassa fish does not seem to mind them -  but actually may prefer them. This technique offers a number of advantages for the farmer such as improving the flavour and the value of this particular species.

Europa sells only Premium Bassa in three sizes, 110/170 g, 170/220 g and 1 kg retail packs.
